2Dark Coming to Xbox One and PS4

2Dark, the debut title from Gloomywood is set to come to Xbox One and PS4 as well as the previously announced PC and Mac versions of the game. Gloomywood are a newly created studio, headed up by Frédérick Raynal, former director and lead designer of the first Alone in the Dark game; the game widely considered to be the grandfather of the survival horror genre. As you might expect, 2Dark is a stealth-horror adventure game which takes a lot of influence from Raynal’s Magnum Opus of 1992 and builds upon that foundation in an attempt to recapture the feel of those early survival horror games.

“Ever since Alone in the Dark I‘m following the evolution of survival horror. With 2Dark I wanted to break with the genre’s traditions so I thought, what is more frightening than risking your own life? Risking the life of your children of course”, said Frédérick Raynal on the game’s vision. “Although we initially planned to release the game solely on PC and Mac, thanks to the outpouring of community support and enthusiasm, we decided to also bring it to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 so that our fans can enjoy 2Dark on their favourite platform”
