15 Neo Geo Classics Come to GOG

Gamers of a certain age will likely remember the Neo Geo. It was one of the most expensive games consoles of all time, with a home machine costing hundreds back in the nineties. It was a powerhouse though, with the home version being a boxed up version of the arcade version at a time when "perfect arcade ports" were all that anybody wanted.

Trouble is, when a console costs that much, nobody can afford to buy it. Despite a popular run in Japan with many big games, the machine died a death and failed to make itself as popular in the west. That's why we're pleased to see that 15 of the best games from the system are being re-released by SNK on the digital distribution platform GOG.

There's a selection of Metal Slug games, all of which are available together in a bundle, as well as a selection of fighting games like The King of Fighters 2000, Fatal Fury Special and Samurai Showdown II. Rounding up the list is a collection of arcade classics including Baseball Stars 2, Shock Troopers and Twinkle Star Sprites. You can check out the full list on GOG.com.
