Furries - swing on a rope jump Review
You are an adventurer known only as the Furry Traveler. You are tasked with the mission to return the stolen idol that was taken from the peaceful village of the Furries and replaced with a fake. The trail of the thief leads the Furries and the Furry Traveler through a desert to an ancient pyramid where they will face deadly traps such as pit falls, spikes, and moving platforms in order to reach the end and rescue the idol.
Game developer paradoXteam has released their latest, Furries - swing on a rope jump. This is an easy rope swing game that can be found on mobile devices and is free to play. The basic premise of the game is to swing from a rope through an Indiana Jones style cave with your Furry and see just how far you can get.
The game was created through Corona Labs, a cross-platform game engine, and can be found in the Android marketplace or Google Play as well as the App Store on iTunes. The physics in the game take a bit to get used to, as the rope swinging is slower than I expected, though the longer the Furry swings, the faster the Furry will go. The only tutorial is a cartoon finger tapping on the screen to inform the player as to how to get the game started. There are 26 different Furries to choose from, starting with the Furry Traveler, and the more achievements unlocked in the game, the more Furries to choose from. There only seems to be one really long room that I couldn’t find the end to, but it does randomly generate each time it’s started so that there’s some variety.
The game has frequent ads, though there doesn’t seem to be any way to pay to unlock the additional characters and there are no power ups. The ads can be a bit frustrating at times, as they do seem to pop up often, but you will get coins to watch. Instead of having lives in the game, there are retries that cost 10 coins and go up in increments of 10 on each retry. There are coins to collect in the pyramid as well and they are shaped like the head of a sarcophagus, staying with the Egyptian motif. If you run out of coins to afford a retry you can watch an ad to get one last attempt before the game will end.
Due to the quick loading speed and the fact that the game offers ads for coins almost every time that they are needed, one can play the game for a very long time. This would be a great game to play in a doctor’s office waiting room or on public transport as it’s something that can be hopped in and out of very quickly and easily. The game is not easy, though, and there will be a bit of a learning curve at first to find out the correct speed of the rope and how to properly swing to make progress. It may be a little frustrating at first, but give it a chance, take some time to learn the physics and it may grow on you. It’s a cheery game that’s worth a try. Do your best to help the Furries out and retrieve their stolen idol.

I'll be honest, I was expecting more yiffing. Looks like a fun game though

When I saw the name, I wondered how much inspiration it had drawn from Fury of the Furries from the Amiga Days...
