UtechSmart Venus Gaming Mouse Review
Have you ever played a game that has more than 12 buttons incorporated and you just decided you want to play it with one hand? Well, then I have news because UtechSmart's Venus gaming mouse is the choice for you!
The Venus mouse is a heavily-customizable mouse with 16 different buttons to change up and choose according to what you will need for any given game, perfect for titles with a lot of different abilities and key bindings.
This nifty little mouse has two different profiles that will allow you to change among two different sets of buttons. All of the buttons are fully customisable, with several different options including things such as macros that will allow you to rapidly teabag your felled foes at the speed of light.
Jokes aside, the Venus gaming mouse's customisability is perfect for MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft that have several different abilities, allowing you to set a chain of abilities for each of the 16 different buttons. This customisation includes a random keypress; media controls such as volume increase, decrease, and stop; and a very easy to use and understand macro setup that allows you to create any macro for any game.
The layout is intuitive, with 12 different buttons on the thumb-side of the mouse and an extra button further left of the left click. These buttons are big enough that someone with big hands won't be clicking them by accident, however, those with longer hands will have a harder time getting to the last three buttons at the very bottom of the mouse.
The buttons are easy to click, lit up by the RGB backlight adding even more beautiful neon colours to your setup and feel sturdy enough that it won't randomly press whenever in the heat of battle. It's the perfect middle between sturdy and not that doesn't allow my finger to hurt when doing repeated presses.
Best of all, the mouse has a perfect weight. This is something I never knew I cared for until I had to move on from my Venus mouse and found others to feel too light and flimsy. It's sturdy enough so it doesn't feel cheap, and the heaviness doesn't allow light tapping to budge it easily, and it isn't heavy enough that it'll break with its first fall. The weight is customisable as well on the wired version with eight different weights located at the bottom that can be removed to make it lighter. This, however, isn't present in the wireless version.
Additionally, the Venus mouse has wonderful precision. This is at its most notable whenever I used it to animate wallpapers using Wallpaper Engine, it was sensitive enough that I could use the sliders with comfort and ease, precisely choosing where I want the slider to land.
With customisable RGB lighting, the Venus is one of the prettiest competitors when it comes to 16-button mice. The colours can be adjusted into different styles such as breathing or an option for it to remain always on, and the brightness can be affected as well.
The mouse also has four different customisable DPI to freely change around according to different demand on games, or even different stances within the same game. The DPI can go all the way up to 16,400 for players that love to move their hand one inch and then turn their heads more than the Regan MacNeil in The Exorcist.
The shape of the mouse is also beautifully made, with a small platform beneath the thumb that prevents it from rubbing against the desk too much, and a wider build that allows the hand to land comfortably on it and facilitates grip and movement. Although these things sound useless, after changing from the Venus mouse onto another generic one, I was surprised at the vast difference in comfort and how much more difficult it is to actually manage the comfort of the grip with these.
The Venus gaming is by far the favourite mouse I've ever had, despite having used three other different models, and has my complete trust and love. The 12 programmable buttons at the thumb make it really easy to control things such as volume for your PC given its very in-depth customisation menu, there isn't a single thing this mouse can't do and it is one of the easiest tech recommendations I can make.

Easily one of the best gaming mice I've had, with tons of customisability for 16 buttons, amazing precision, up to 16,400 DPI, and beautiful RGB colours.

I contacted their support and Customer service dept by email a week ago regarding a power switch issue. Still have not received a reply. Customer service is apparently non-existent. However, I loved the mouse when it was working. Would not buy again due to the apparent non-existent customer service.
