Videogame Music That Gives Me Goosebumps: Part Threeway.
In our wonderful world of videogames, there will be times that a certain voice line or piece of music triggers that sensation of making every single hair on your body stand on end. With this in mind, here’s one piece that will guarantee such a sensation.
It seems fitting that my choice today focuses on ELDEN RING, as this monumental game is certainly becoming one of the greatest titles to release in my own lifetime. The sheer scale of the game, a world that’s steeped in lore, with fascination and intrigue around every corner, makes it a title that will likely have something new to show me each time I play it.
Now I certainly have a love/hate relationship with ELDEN RING currently. I love the game to pieces but my God, I absolutely loathe it when it’s taking huge joy in stomping my face into the ground over and over again.
Many of these soul-crushing moments came at the hands of the Godskin Apostles that you encounter throughout the lands; far too many than I’d like to admit. Hearing this track trigger upon entering an area fills me with utter dread, knowing that my impending demise is just around the corner. As you can imagine I’ve heard parts of this track quite often due to the repeated attempts of defeating these foes. The orchestral music and haunting vocals certainly give extra weight to the unnerving feeling I get when facing an enemy wearing the literal skin of a god.
I present to you the Godskin Apostles from the ELDEN RING soundtrack.
