Videogame Music That Gives Me Goosebumps

In our wonderful world of videogames, there will be times that a certain voice line or piece of music triggers that sensation of making every single hair on your body stand on end. With this in mind, here’s one piece that will guarantee such a sensation.

Drifting off to my schoolboy days, I was often around a friend’s house playing games after school or on the weekends. He was one of those that managed to get Japanese imports and such. One day he was super excited to show off a new fighting game he had just got. The PlayStation was fired up and the disc inserted — with the assistance of some swap disc magic — the game roared to life and dropped one of the most awe-inspiring introductions I had ever seen.

Soul Edge — the Japanese name for what was known as Soul Blade in Europe which then evolved into the Soulcalibur series — just had my jaw on the ground with the music that was blasting. Even right now, typing these words, I have the music in my head and the goosebumps are rising. So for your pleasure, I give you the intro music for Soul Edge.
