Ubisoft's "Mysterious Invite" Revealed to Be Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
About a week ago we told you about a "Mysterious Invite" that we received from Ubisoft. At the time there was no solid knowledge regarding the event and what it would be about, although from the logo on the invite we did hazard a guess at Assassin's Creed. Well it seems our hunch was right as information has very recently been leaked, and it looks like we will be being treated to a reveal for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. From what we can salvage from various leaks appearing across the internet, the game looks set to be a swashbuckling, rum-swigging pirate adventure! The main source of the info is a picture of new poster making the rounds, featuring a beautifully drawn battle taking place on a ship on the one side, and a map on the other. The locations on the map are mainly some Caribbean islands, notably Cuba, and also the coast of Florida.
The game will have a completely new protagonist, and looks to be set mostly in the Caribbean at the dawn of the 18th Century. Also, according to one cheeky peeker, who supposedly saw some information being worked on during his flight, Ubisoft will be aiming for a 'Holiday Season 2013' release. This of course coincides nicely with the suggestive PlayStation 4 release date being around the same time (although maybe not in Europe due to a possible delayed release). So does that mean we will be getting the next AC installment on the next gen console? Well only time will tell, and hopefully we will find out at the event today (27th Feb) rolling the information out to you guys as we do. Keep your eyes peeled folks!
