Top Upcoming Games 2015
With the buzz of Nintendo’s E3 performance now finished and the gamescom trailers still relatively fresh in our minds it seems that after a sparse year of releases for both of the new-gen consoles 2015 is going to be the year that really sells next-gen gaming.
2015 is going to be so jam packed full of great games being launched we’ve decided to list some of the best ones we’re looking forward to.
Evolve (PS4, XBOX ONE, PC)

First up is Evolve, developed by Turtle Rock Studios the team behind the popular Left 4 Dead series. Evolve sticks to what the developers know with four-player co-op gameplay against the Goliath, an ever changing and evolving monstrosity.
Taking place on an alien planet players take part in a 4 V 1 match against either an A.I or player controlled Goliath. The players take the role of one of the four hunter classes that each come with their own unique abilities and weapons whilst they enjoy a FPS perspective as they hunt down the gigantic Goliath.
Those controlling the games titular monster enjoy a third person perspective as they consume various fauna to evolve their monster to make it more of an unstoppable force.
Launching on February 16th this game is already anticipated to be the next eSports title alongside Smash Bros. and Counter-Strike.
The Order: 1886 (PS4)

This PS4 exclusive puts players in the role of a member of an ancient order of knights that stand against the forces of evil. Set during 1886 this steampunk game blends survival horror with a third person shooter as players comb the streets of London to find and destroy monsters.
You’ll get to use a variety of Victorian weaponry which has been given a sci-fi edge, like a gun which lets you fire a cloud of Thermite in your attackers face before you ignite it with a special flame gun to burn them alive.
Launching on February 20th this brilliant game has already convinced a number of people to splash out on a new-gen console.
Bloodborne (PS4)

Already touted as the spiritual successor to the Souls series (Demon, Dark I and Dark II), Bloodborne takes the same approach of putting players in an oppressive and dark world where tactics and careful progression are key to keeping you alive.
Players must progress through a terrifying world filled with various nightmarish monstrosities and insane crowds of people. It uses a unique combat system that arms players with an arsenal of guns, cleavers and swords that can all transform to extend your combos or give you a new approach to your fight.
Launching on March 31st this game is already hotly anticipated as throwing Dark Souls from its third person adventure game throne.
Battlefield Hardline (PS4, PS3, XBOX ONE, XBOX 360, PC)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iu1I_Supvc8
Although initially met with groans when it was announced, Battlefield Hardline is a completely new approach by Visceral Games and EA.
Instead of your standard military FPS where you blow up the enemy teams in a variety of brown and grey corridors or environments, with Hardline you get to play the exciting role of bank robbers or police.
It’s a nostalgic kick to those of us who used to play ‘cops ‘N robbers’ when we were kids and it’s great to see them adapting it in a real game with a pretty powerful in-game engine. Set across a variety of game modes, players will get to shoot and blow each other to bits with a multitude of cool gadgets and weapons.
Launching on March 31st this game might be the Hail Mary Pass that the Battlefield series desperately needs.
The Division (PS4, XBOX ONE, PC)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWJD8DMasCU
It’s not often a post-apocalyptic game garners so much positive attention but The Division is already one of the most hotly anticipated games of 2015.
A third person shooter, The Division sets players within New York City after it’s been ravaged by an unknown plague. Society has fallen and gangs of exterminators and bandits roam the once packed streets of this tourist destination.
It’s an open world RPG where players gain experience and weapon upgrades from raiding areas and exploring the world. With the ability to team up with friends on both console and tablet devices, The Division is already breaking new ground in the massive multiplayer genre.
Launching on May 26th, this could be one of the top selling games of the year.
Batman: Arkham Knight (PS4, PS3, XBOX ONE, XBOX 360, PC)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUhcQvlOm7k
It wouldn’t be next-gen console unless there was a Batman game, after the flop that was Arkham Origins this explosive finale to the Arkham story arc sets Batman facing what might be his most deadly threat yet.
Batman will face off against the return of the Scarecrow as well as an impressive DC character roster of villains like the Penguin, Two Face and Harley Quinn (with Troy Baker’s version of the Joker probably turning up because it’s a Batman game).
Featuring an open world and a new addition of the iconic Batmobile, Batman’s car-come-armoured assault vehicle, Batman: Arkham Knight might just save the Arkham series of games.
With a launch date of June 2nd, Arkham Knight is definitely one to keep an eye on.
Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain (PS4, XBOX ONE, PS3, XBOX 360)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VwxqFOaIjc
After the mixed reception that Ground Zeroes received, Hideo Kojima's follow up to his successful and incredibly popular Metal Gear Solid series takes a new and unique turn in this latest instalment.
Following the explosive aftermath of Ground Zeroes, Big Boss ventures into Afghanistan to find out why he was betrayed and to track down those responsible for the destruction of Mother Base. Unlike Metal Gear games of the past, Phantom Pain features an open world that comes with day-night cycles, drivable vehicles and enemy bases that you can approach in any direction or style you like.
With a launch date of October 20th the release of the final instalment of the legendary Metal Gear Solid series is already eagerly anticipated amongst fans of the franchise.
With so many of these great titles launching next year 2015 is certainly going to be quite the year to remember in the gaming community.
