PES 2022: What Do We Know So Far

Pro Evolution Soccer, which is also known around the world as PES, is one of the top football games available to gamers and each release that developers Konami release will leave keen gamers that continue to play this franchise hoping for some new, quality features to be continued to be added.

Indeed, PES 2021 provided players with some top gameplay and experiences when it was released last season, however, it would appear the next instalment of the game franchise will have those that play jumping in excitement and anticipation for when it is finally released.

What do we know

One of the first things that we know about the upcoming PES 2022 videogame is that it has been designed specifically for use on the current gen consoles, such as the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S platforms.

However, gamers who have not been able to get their hands on these in-demand consoles will still be able to experience the best gameplay that they can as Konami have also revealed it will still be made available and supported by PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC devices.

One potential problem that players might have though when playing on the latter of the systems mentioned above is that they may not be able to take advantage of the all-new game engine that PES 2022 will have implemented.

Unreal Engine 5

Developed by games maker, Epic Games, Unreal Engine 5 is set to be used in the upcoming PES 2022 videogame title, with this feature potentially changing the way the game is played forever.

For those unaware of what Unreal Engine 5 is, it is a piece of technology that will allow players to experience the very best visuals and console graphics that they have ever witnessed before, with some suggesting that games will now receive Hollywood movie graphics as things continue to improve.

There are still a number of unknowns in regards to how the engine will work in PES 2022, but gamers might be able to see their favourite football players in a realistic digital form, whilst also receiving a visual experience that is incredibly immersive and one that will feel as real as possible.

Licensed tournaments and teams

PES has started to achieve a reputation in which they are challenging many of the other competitors in the market by securing a number of exclusive licenses, which has seen many gamers turn to their games. As this is a unique selling point for the game, it is no surprise that Konami have decided to continue to try and acquire even more rights for tournaments and for some of the biggest clubs in football.

One tournament that many would have known was licensed in previous games was the UEFA European Football Championships, which allowed players to fully simulate the upcoming competition that will have proven beneficial to those that have been looking for the best options and sports betting odds when the real tournament takes place.

Clubs such as Juventus are exclusive to PES 2022, whereas AS Roma and Atalanta have been acquired as well, whilst FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich’s stadiums - Nou Camp and Allianz Arena - are both exclusive to the game, as well.

What do fans want to see in PES 2022?

Of course, with any game that is to ever be released, there will always be features and game modes that players will want to see and PES 2022 is not immune to that.

Although Konami continues to work hard to provide gamers with the best game they possibly can, many will still be hoping that they are able to benefit from certain features.

Some of the most-wanted features that are desired by fans of the game series include certain aspects within the MyClub game, an improved Master League - with some complaining that it is out of date and needs serious work - as well as player AI as movements and actions can sometimes be rather disappointing.
