Nintendo Offering Free Wi-Fi for 3DS at 25,000 Locations in the US

All over the US, Nintendo 3DS users will be able to connect to wireless internet via thousands of free to use, Wi-Fi access points in places ranging from coffee shops to airports from tomorrow. 

With a fantastic new partnership with companies such as the Simon Property Group (controlling over 200 malls nationwide) Best Buy (with over 1000 stores providing Wi-Fi) and AT&T (with over 24,000 Wi-Fi hotspots in various different places acorss the country) it's a huge step in getting the system as fully useable as possible, outside of the home.  

This huge expandment will benefit users nationwide with the ability to download software updates, game updates and unqiue content on the go, as well as in the confort of their own homes. 

The president of Nintendo America, Reggie Fils-Aime said:

"With thousands of free Wi-Fi access points through our alliances, Nintendo 3DS users across the country can instantly enjoy one-of-a-kind entertainment experiences wherever and whenever they like.

"In addition to a strong lineup of games and the ability to view 3D content without special glasses, the system makes it easy for people to connect with their surroundings and each other, even when they're away from home."
