Modern Warfare II (2022) Short Thoughts #9 - EBR-14

In multiplayer the EBR-14 (basically an M14) is an underrated beast! And what is strange is that I feel I am the only person who has realised this, as I have seen only a very small number of players using it after many hours of play time. Maybe the fact that it is under the "Marksman Rifle'' category puts people off and they assume it'll have annoying sniper-like qualities. Well, that's not really the case, as due to it being a Marksman Rifle, it is still suitable for close-quarters combat thanks to its array of short range optics (and even brilliant iron sights). Two shots (unless you score an insta-kill headshot) and an enemy is killed - very few guns can offer this kind of hefty firepower. However, the EBR-14 can do it at any range and with relative ease as it's a straightforward gun to use in any situation.

Another good reason to use it, is that it is unlocked by default in the Marksman Rifle category — you start the game with it!

Do yourself a favour (if you prefer to use hard-hitting battle rifle-style weapons like me) and put the EBR-14 in your loadout, you won't regret it.
