Infinity Nikki Tips & Tricks
Infinity Nikki is possibly one of the most fun and unique games currently circulating in the gaming sphere, and I, too, am utterly obsessed with it! If you're considering jumping in and trying it out or just want some pointers, here are some tips and tricks I've learned during my time in Miraland!
Ground Pound Things!
One of the things that had my head spinning when I started out was how I could break boxes and Treasure Melons (a fruit that you find in the wild with a hard shell)! It turns out that all you have to do is ground pound right on top of them, and they'll crack open and give you all the goodies. In order to do that, just jump + Q (or jump + Right Trigger for controller)!
Explore During Different Weather
I know it's a bummer when it gets dark and starts raining in Infinity Nikki because the world is so vibrant and beautiful when it's sunny, but there's a bright side to this — you can only forage for certain items during specific weathers, such as the Rainy Orchid!
You Can (and Should) Buy Clothes from Stores
Aside from the gacha mechanic, there are many other ways to get new clothing items in Infinity Nikki: finding chests, playing the Surprise-O-Matic (a gacha with non-premium currency), completing quests, and buying them from the stores around the different towns! I highly suggest trying to get your hands on as many items as possible — even if they're not overly appealing to you — as this will help you big time during the fashion challenges.
Remember to Use the Map!
Around Florawish, there are several Sockos (a rare bug that looks like a sock) that you can find, but since they scare so easily, you might just find yourself constantly missing a catch. To avoid this, I recommend using the map to mark when you find them and then make it your first task every time you log in! That way, at the very least, you'll get a few every time you play.
Reach Your Limits!
You might have noticed that every time you collect something, whether it's catching a bug, a fish, foraging, etc., you get a Collection Insight. There is a limit to how many of these you can get per category every day, so ideally, try to reach it every play session! These will work to unlock things in the skill tree later on, and you'll save yourself time and materials by following the simple rule.
Secure Your Future]
Speaking of avoiding unnecessary headaches, every time that you can, make sure you get materials. Found a fishing spot (or a flock of sheep, or a bunch of butterflies, or some Rainy Orchids, or...)? Save yourself some sanity in the future and get them! The more time you allocate to this — without pushing it and making the game a chore — the quicker you'll get your hands on cool items in the future.
Got a Date? Mess with Time!
Did you know you can change the time in-game? It's quite simple, and it took me embarrassingly long to figure it out! Once you've unlocked the Pear-Pal (every Stylist's best friend!), you'll find a Run, Pear-Pal. This cutesy app will give you a Flappy-Bird-like mini-game to play through while time advances, but don't worry — you don't have to perform well for it to work!
Check the Outfits' Abilities
Another thing that took me a long time to realise is that some of the outfits you can pull are to replace your Ability Outfits! If you're not too busy drooling over the beautiful styles like I was, you might just notice that there's an icon that shows you what ability it is for. This is very useful if you're more interested in changing one of those than getting a normal outfit!
That's about it for the tips I've got! I hope they help make your journey even smoother. Good luck!
