Incoming Kickstarter: Slothtopia

I'm sure I'm not the only big fan of Kickstarter — it's an easy way for game developers to get help bringing their dream to reality and a phenomenal platform for us game addicts to find new games to love and support! That being said, though, it's stupidly easy to miss out on the new campaigns coming out, especially for airheads like me. So, I figured I might help bring a few of my favourite upcoming games to the spotlight and, in doing so, help you find cool new titles to support!

Today, I'm bringing you an adorable adventure life simulator title. And if you love 'em but need a break from the usual formula — or maybe even can't get enough of them and need more — there's a game you might want to keep your eye on. I present to you all Slothtopia: a game that mixes what's charming about the Animal Crossing, Zelda, and Pokémon franchises… and then adds sloths!

Coming to both PC and Nintendo Switch, this charming title will bring with it all the usual goodness of life simulators, as you'll be able to create your own sloth, decorate your home, and build meaningful relationships with the villagers... But you'll also be able to capture the monsters roaming the island and make them your new friends and even get quests from the NPCs to feel like a true hero.

Some of the many charming aspects of this title are evident — such as the colourful graphics and adorable sloths — but there's more to it than the cuteness. Using artificial intelligence, the developer has made it so that each villager has their own personality and will engage in unscripted, meaningful conversations; this brings freshness and hope to the life simulation genre. And last but not least, you'll be able to play multiplayer online and enjoy the island together as you fish, farm, catch monsters, and go on an adventure together!
