Five Cute and Simple Christmas Games to Wind Down
Last year, I got an adorable but simple Halloween title in one of Fanatical's bundles —Spooky Bonus. Ever since then, I've found comfort in the idea of having a silly holiday-themed title in my mind that I can use to wind down before bed; it helps me keep somewhat of a holiday spirit even during busy times. If you're looking for something similar — maybe even to cuddle with your spouse or pet on the Steam Deck or ROG Ally — then look no further! Starting with…
SEARCH ALL - CHRISTMAS
Developer: Laush Dmitriy Sergeevich
Publisher: Laush Studio
Rating: Positive
One of my favourite genres (especially lately) is hidden objects; I could waste hours away before bed just looking for items from a list. I especially like the ones with creative twists! This one, for example, has movement and a cute doodle style, and you’ll be looking for candy canes!
Delicious - Emily's Christmas Carol
Genres: Time Management
Developer: Blue Giraffe, GameHouse
Publisher: GameHouse
Rating: Very Positive
A genre I wish I could get into is definitely time management, especially the cooking ones! The Emily franchise is one of those that specifically made me sad I was too slow to keep up with the customer's demands, and the good news is that she's got tons of different adventures, including a Christmas one!
Pixel Puzzle 2: Christmas
Genres: Jigsaw
Developer: Pixel Puzzles
Publisher: Pixel Puzzles
Rating: Positive
A great idea to play and let the hard day at work melt away is jigsaws. Although I'm not the biggest fan because I usually get bored, I see how cosying up in bed while watching random stuff on TV might be a great combination during Christmas! If that sounds like a good time for you, too, Pixel Puzzles 2: Christmas offers some adorable images for you to put back together.
SantaCraft
Genres: Crafting, Sandbox
Developer: Milkbag Games
Publisher: Milkbag Games
Rating: Very Positive
Breaking away from the cosy and mouse-heavy titles for a moment, I wanted to share this adorable gem I found during my adventure to find cool games for you all — SantaCraft. This pixelated title has us ploughing through snow, cutting down gingerbread trees, and rebuilding Santa's village, and if that's not the cutest thing you've heard in a while, then I don't know what to tell you... but this is a darn near instant buy for me!
Christmas Adventure: Candy Storm
Genres: Point & Click, Hidden Object
Developer: Argali Entertainment, Wonderland
Publisher: RunServer
Rating: Very Positive
Before I got into really complex titles, I was a kid gamer who was obsessed with the point-and-click genre, and this is exactly why I love the idea of getting holiday-themed games — I get to go back to playing and enjoying the simpler genres. Although I've personally not played Christmas Adventure yet, it looks a lot like the titles I used to spend hours and hours on!
And that's it! I hope you can find as much joy in playing simple holiday-themed titles as I have. It does keep you in touch with the month and gives you a few minutes a day to really enjoy the present!
