Day of the Devs Overview 2023

The second event of today — the 8th of June — is the Day of the Devs! In it, we got to see around 15 titles, some of which were brand-new and others which have been for a while! Check out everything there was below!

Beastieball

Beastieball takes a new approach to the creature collector genre, as instead of battling others and their beasts, you'll be playing volleyball! This charming and unique new title will have you coaching a team of beasties, exploring a colourful 2D world, and unravelling the narrative, which is deeper than it seems!

Hyper Light Breaker

Hyper Light Breaker is an action-adventure RPG where you'll step into the Overgworth — a land that lies forgotten by the world of Hyper Light. Whether you explore it alone or with friends is up to you, but regardless, you'll fight monsters, unlock geat, and ride on your hoverboard!

Simpler Times

Simpler Times is a relaxing and wholesome title where you'll step into the shoes of Taina — a woman who is about to take some big steps and leave her childhood home behind, so she revisits her memories to ready herself. Explore her memories at your pace while lo-fi beats stream past, and help her get ready to move out!

Viewfinder

Viewfinder takes an interesting approach to puzzles, as you'll need to change your perspective in order to change reality! By doing so, you'll advance further, unlocking more complex puzzles that will mess with your perception!

Hauntii

In Hauntii, you'll explore Etenity — a place that exists outside of space, filled with all the souls who eventually wind up there. And whilst no soul can perish here, many can be led astray, becoming corrupted into a hellish new version of themselves. Explore this terrifying world, haunt the environment and anyone in it, and uncover Hauntii's past life.

Cart Life

In this black-and-white pixelated title, you'll explore a retail simulator with a heavy emphasis on story. Whilst this isn't its first release — Cart Life had already been on Steam — it's a fantastic opportunity for everyone to try it!

Helskate

In Helskate, you'll play a combination of a skating game and a roguelite title, where you'll have to fight, die, and upgrade your way to victory! Oh, did we mention you get to skate? What else could you want?

Henry Halfhead

Henry Halfhead might have a bit of a shocking and odd name, but we promise it's just as cute and unique! In this amusing title, you'll play as a head who has the ability to control any object nearby, allowing you to explore the surroundings by discovering their unique properties! Play as over 150 items, invite a friend to join, and experience all the wacky fun Henry has to offer!

Cocoon
