BlizzCon Online 2021: Developers Talk More About The Rogue
Following their reveal during the opening ceremony of BlizzCon Online 2021, the Rogue is the latest class to added to the upcoming Diablo IV. To talk more about the class, John Mueller (Art Director) and Luis Barriga (Game Director) took to the Diablo IV: What's Next stream to give players more details.
First seen in the original Diablo, this class is a master of mobility able to unleash fast and fluid attacks with both melee and ranged weapons. With the option to use swords and daggers for close ranged combat and bows and crossbows for ranged combat, players will have plenty of options to develop their own play style.
The Rogue is capable of a wide variety of builds and play styles with class specializations to help players find the right build for them. The three detailed during this stream include Shadow Realm, allowing you to pull enemies into another realm to single them out. Exploit Weakness, to retaliate against enemies with increased damage, and Combo Points which strings together your attacks for a rhythm of death. You will also be able to take advantage of the Imbue System as well to give your attacks a range of effects such as poison or frost damage.
While there are plenty of options to build your play style of the Rogue, there will also be plenty for how your character will look. Along with the many gear options players will have available to them there will be several character customization options too. This means that players can build their Rogue exactly how they want.
Diablo IV is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
