A Short Rant About the Fortnite Myths & Mortals Battle Pass Bug

Recently, I have been playing a lot of Fortnite, and this is my second time getting the Battle Pass. Well, on the 25th of March, there was a huge bug that affected a lot of players out there, including myself. Players with a high level in the Chapter 5 Season 2 (Myths & Mortals) Battle Pass were reset back to level one, which was very frustrating. Not only that, but players who bought the Battle Pass with their 950 V Bucks (or 2,800 to skip 25 levels) had lost that too, and were unable to retrieve it.

This meant that if players had not claimed items on the Battle Pass, which unlocks many items including skins, they were now unable to. While I kept everything that I had already claimed (from what I can tell), I’ve seen other people complain that they lost some skins. The Battle Pass screen does show that I don’t own the Zeus skin and other unlockables, even though I can equip them…

What was even more frustrating for these players was that Epic Games posted on X (tweeted) that they would hopefully have a fix in a couple of days. At time of writing, it has gone over those couple of days and then some. The Battle Pass ends in May, and we are currently in April.

Will they give players the lost levels or even the Battle Pass back? My theory is that they won't be giving players the levels they lost back or the Battle Pass back, but they will compensate the 950 V Bucks that players spent for it. Honestly, I can see that upsetting a lot of players out there because of all the hard work that they went through to achieve the skin of their dreams.
